Moving out
Notice, moving day and the final inspection, in the order they happen.
Give notice in writing
Your lease sets how much notice you need to give. Send it through the move-out form, or by certified mail to Block Management, 23-25 31st Street, Suite 600, Astoria, NY 11105.
We are not able to accept notice by phone or email, so that there is always a clear record of the date it was given.

Moving day
The same form lets you choose your moving date. If you hire movers, they need to send a certificate of insurance that matches the sample for your building before the move.
You will find your building's sample in the resident portal menu, under Resources, then Sample COI.
The final inspection
Once the apartment is empty, we walk through it, ideally with you there. Please leave it broom clean, with all keys and fobs returned. Any charges for damage beyond normal wear and tear, cleaning or items left behind follow our standard schedule.
Your security deposit
Within 14 days of your move-out, we return your deposit or send an itemized statement of any deductions, as New York law requires. Please include a forwarding address in the move-out form so it reaches you.
